In 2006, University of Missouri Health Care instituted a tobacco-free policy. Because we are committed to improving the health of our community, we believe that promoting a tobacco-free environment is the right thing to do.
Tobacco use by everyone - patients, visitors, contractors and employees - is prohibited on all MU Health Care property.

Need help quitting? Employees Healthy for Life, the University of Missouri T.E. Atkins Wellness Program, offers tobacco-cessation assistance for employees. Resources include nicotine-replacement therapy and QuitNet, a smoking-cessation support program. For more information, please contact Armine Alioto, RN, nurse coordinator, at (573) 884-1439.
